Wow! complicated stuff. At present I use models and animations that I know work, all this retargeting, humanoids and BONES is too much for me - lol. You're a hero for posting this video.

I didn't even make it through the front door on this one. I exported my character out of Mixamo and imported into UE4 and my character became a hideous faceless monster.

Once I get this to work on one Mixamo character, do I have to go through the entire process again, or can I copy something, or just swap out the mesh?

Is it possible to have a skeletal mesh work with multiple other animations? Say for instance you have a character from somewhere, and you want it to work with the mannequins animations, mixamo animations, as well as it's own animations, can you retarget it to both the mannequin and mixamo skeletons, or can you only retarget it to one?

Yes! I really hope you cover more on this! I want to try importing my own animations or at least edit the ones in Unreal. Also I wanna get back into the inventory tutorial series.

The issue I keep having is that the metahuman I’m trying to animate never loads into the skeleton, it’s always just his shoes.

Im a little confused. Got to the stage of duplicating the retargeting animation, and in the window that comes up, I do not see my character which i auto mapped and saved - therefore i cannot apply the animation. Any ideas why this would be? Thank you
