Channel Islands Pod Mod in Torq X-Lite 4K

Показать описание
In 2000 the original Pod rapidly became a global favorite, allowing surfers to drop six inches off their shortboards and revolutionize punting.

The Pod Mod design is a heavily modified Pod, designed to be ridden even shorter and wider than the original, catering to the surfer that wants a little more volume forward to catch waves but doesn’t want to sacrifice performance. The tail has been widened for small wave glide, and the original single to double concave has been replaced with a flat entry to concave vee for quick rail to rail transitions.

Experienced surfers ride this board 3”- 6” shorter than you are tall.

What’s the difference between the newer torq x lite and older ones from 4 years ago

Awesome shape, but idk what happened to Torq's quality control on the x-lites. The newer ones have white paint glopped on them (to hide manufacturing flaws), which makes them heavier than any board I've ever held. The older ones were very nice and the same weight as a standard (4/6 glass) polyester board in he same size.

Should I ride it as a thruster of quad?

This will be my First shortboard, should I get it in 5’10 or 6’2?

I am 5’10 175lb / athletic / low-intermediate

Mostly surf Ocean city MD and Outer Banks (mushy most of the time but can turn on in late fall)

I’m 16 I’ve been surfing my whole life I’ve surfed from 6’4 to 8’6 and the board I have is 7’2 and I find hard to turn due to being older technology. I surf in smaller waves max 7 feet and I can’t decide between 6’6 and 6’2. My dads surfs a longer board and says it will be so hard to catch waves with 6’2 and wants me to get a 6’6 do you think the 6’6 is to big of a board for me as 5’10, 134 ish pounds
