I bought this Oxo salad spinner used 2 days ago at a thrift store for $1.99.

When I make macaroni salad I boil the elbow pasta then drain hot water and put into icewater bath to stop hold-over cooking. Drain macaroni again and put into salad spinner. This is necessary as the pasta needs to be dry before adding mayonnaise. Otherwise water trapped in macaroni will dilute your dressing.

This OXO spinner is also marketed as a Farberware product.
Mine has the clear bowl, green basket, and white lid with green lock slider, stop button and plunger.
And yes, it's the best spinner I've owned.

I see so many people online using it wrong by just rinsing it under the sink. I always tell them, when it comes to salad, a bath cleans better than a shower.

I love this oxo spinner.
Id previously purchased a random brand off Amazon that had a chopper lid too.
The spinner hardly spun, the gear teeth skipped, the chopper was nice but the storage lid never ever fit.
Found an OXO in a good will.
1000% better.

Love my OXO Salad Spinner that I've had for at least 8 yrs. I thing is, I found it at a small independent thrift store. The funny thing is the store has long been out of business, but the Spinner is going strong!!
😂 I also often use bottom & the strainer to wash, soak & rinse produce . It's great b/c it's large enough to do a variety of items. I highly recommend it !! 🥬🍇🫐🥕🍎🍋

OXO needs to sell this with a sealing lid, as the best way to store washed lettuce is in the spinner basket.
