The Gatorade lid hack starts at the 22:32 mark, you’re welcome.

It's so weird, every time I drink Gatorade, I un cap it, hold the cap, take a sip and cap it again immediately. I've never had a situation where I just leave it uncapped long enough to lose the cap.

11:00 you can also mix any form of salt, table salt, kosher salt, Himalayan pink salt, into your soap lather. It removes onion, garlic, even fish odors. I don't know why or how. Also, salt is a good mild abrasive to get paint or motor oil out of the dermal grooves of your hands and fingerprint texture.

We use salt to remove onion, garlic smell. It works really well and your hands get a salt rub and leaves them soft and clean

11:30 I'm Australian, and when I visited Canada a local woman picked me up from the airport. When I went to get in her car she was like "No, no, I'll drive". I thought I was getting in the passenger seat...

You can also put those silica packets in a tool box to prevent tools from rusting. It absorbs any moisture in the box.

Great tips too bad I won’t be able to remember any of them, I can’t even remember what I go in the next room for.

Also for the one about the instant rice, yes the bottom flares out, but your not supposed to tear the top off before cooking, your supposed to tear a little on each side (at the perforated spots) just enough to let the steam escape. that way if the packet falls over, you dont have rice everywhere.

Ex-Cellphone repairman here. DO NOT use silica beads or rice to remove moisture from your phone. It's only passively removing the moisture and takes a long time. You want to ACTIVELY remove the liquid from your phone, as quickly as possible to avoid corrosion. Corrosion can take place in a matter of minutes so quick removal of liquid can save your phone. Do this by putting it in front of a fan or other high wind source. Remove your memory card, and battery if you can, then dry it out as quickly as possible with a fan. Do not put it in the oven, as heat is even worse for a phone than liquid.

Two things that could have been added to this video: Ever notice the spiral painted on the cone of the aircraft engines? This is there to let ground-crew know if an engine is running which is sometimes hard to tell without that spiral. Also, drink bottles have the indent on the bottom for two reasons, if a bottle freezes without that indent it would split from the pressure of the ice, with the indent it expands to relieve the pressure. Also, it is a good way for the manufacturer to let you think you are getting more product for your money when in fact you are just buying air.

Learned some good things today: doorknobs made of brass; can openers to open packages; knew about cedar; mind-blowing info about the spaghettis spoon; we used the nail polish tricks back when I was a kid. Great video. Thanks

Two indentations with a perforated outline, one on either end on most packaged rolls of tin foil and plastic wraps, are to be pushed in. It helps the roll stay put andd one's temper in check.

As an Italian, if you are making spaghetti, or any other long pasta, try just using your hand. The amount of pasta that fits in the ring created between your thumb and forefinger is generally to perfect amount for a single person.

Those silica gel packets can be used in your car on windshields too to prevent fogging and frosting. They have many uses. People think I'm nuts for saving them.

My husband is a mechanic and uses the silicon bags for his tools to keep them from rusting.

If you bury a flower in silica it will dry perfectly preserved in the exact state it’s in. We did that w/ my sister’s bridal bouquet and it looks as it did in the ceremony.

On each side of a tin opener you’ll see where the metal has a hook shape cut out,

Not only is this for pulling the lid back after you have opened it, or used as a bottle opener for you ice cold beers,

It can also be used for releasing the pressure inside new food jars, where the air was removed during the process of sealing the produce before shipment from the factory to the store, keeping the produce fresh,

Just use it the same way as opening a beer bottle on the jar, when you hear a popping sound, you have released the pressure letting air back into it, making it easier to turn and remove the lid,

👍🏼

19:02 yes, that's why they had to put the new "Leap" engines models in FRONT of the center of gravity (wings), so that by taking off the pushing of the engines is now ahead and below the centre of gravity and can lift up and so bring the aircraft to stall. So to avoid to stall, the MCAS was added and this will be the reason of the later grounding of all 747max8 and 737max9...
