I grew up watching the Habs of the 70's win all those cups and on the edge of my seat when Lafleur touched the puck. He was exciting to watch and clutch when it counted a true legendary player. RIP Guy!

I both admired his skill and hated how he always seemed to play his best when he played against my Boston Bruins. In spite of all the times he beat us, I couldn't help but respect him. What a loss for the hockey world.
RIP Guy. ❤

Does anybody remember the episode when a child was stabbed by a man when he was wearing the number 10 CH shirt?
Then Guy Lafleur contacted the family. Later, when the child had recovered, Guy invited him to the CH skating ring and skated with the child on his shoulders.
Nobody mentions that great gesture from this hockey hero.
Please!!!

You would grip your chair or stand up whenever Guy Lafleur would skate down the ice with the puck !!! He just had a way of scoring whenever we needed it !!! That how true legends do !!! The best player on the best team ever !!! R.I.P Sir Guy !!!

Truly a Golden Boy during his time. I recall he used to smoke between periods which was weird even back then. It caught up to him, sad.

Remember that kid in Calgary who got stabbed ? On TV Lafleur called him and said ' i'll score a goal for u tonight and sent u the puck " . Think about it, not 'if ' or " ill try and score for u " That, is a superstar. Btw he scored action halted while he retrieved the puck and wrote a note

That story that Finn shared at the end is what separates the legends from the men. Lafleur was a legend.
