The BEST indoor grow lighting info I’ve come across, especially for newbs like yours truly. Your series is the most comprehensive, understandable, and well illustrated ((necessary for those of us who are visual learners!)) on the basic important issues: EFFECTIVENESS TESTING, BUDGETING, and LONG TERM COSTS! Thank you for all your hard work!

I'm using a high bay led ufo light. Was 250w actual power draw and only 180 dollars. It's designed for warehouses, but works excellent for my flowering annuals.

Is there a way to calculate how much PAR/watts/etc you need at a certain distance? For example if I know I am going to be able to have lights 8" above a tray of lettuces, is there a way to calculate what strength I need? Not sure if that makes sense.... I follow your various examples, I just am not sure how to know how much penetration I need. Thanks; great video series!

Love your indepth reviews, no time wasting. Would you be kind enough to recommend a specific bulb or UFO for my 6ft monstera? Thinking the 70W Sansi from your other reviews but if something else would work better in hindsight i'd be obliged!!

These days, efficacy (µmol/J) and PPF output (µmol/s) at varying distances are more important than the manufacturer's Watt rating. If the diodes are inefficient, then it doesn't matter what the Watt rating is in the long run.

I have a 7 * 9 grow space with a lot of plants of all sizes. What light should I use to simulate sunlight in that space. I already have the seedling shelves coveted!
