Here's a shocking revelation: Password sharing reduces subscription cancellations. When you let a family, who maybe don't all live in the same residence anymore, share an account... it means that _several people_ would have to agree on the decision to cancel it. Even if one wants to, the others might still find enough value in it to pay a little more. My family and I have already had the conversation. Not a single one of us will be keeping it once the change is implemented. I will probably find some second hand series on Blu-ray of the shows I enjoy the most. And then I am NEVER looking back.

They've raised prices multiple times the past two years, with this latest price increase i was paying $20 a month... And blame password sharing for the cancelations.... Netflix is willfully tone deaf to it's customer base and this is the result.

Netflix was a house of cards from the beginning. I remember thinking years ago that once all the major studios launched their own streaming services that Netflix would be done because they couldn't survive on original content alone. Would video stores have survived if all they carried was boring indy dramas?

1) Don't be so sure of that... 'market research' is the driving force behind tons of bad content/development, etc.
