Mass Layoffs 2022 Continue Globally | Netflix Fires 300 More

The great layoff continues on a parallel track to the great resignation. OTT major Netflix joins the growing list of MNCs and startups in mass layoffs.

In what is the second round of layoffs at Netflix, the streaming company fired 300 more employees.

The bulk of these job losses are in the US across multiple business functions within the company.

Earlier in May, Netflix had laid off about 150 employees including dozens of contractors and part time workers.

A company announcement talked about managing growing cost as the reason behind these layoffs.

Quoting a Netflix spokesperson: "We made these adjustments so that our costs are growing in line with our slower revenue growth."
