I like how the Apple II version just uses the bonus theme for its intro

0:16 let's see how port's can replicate this iconic theme
0:24 this is not good but not terrible
0:31 i think the missing note makes it better
0:40 somewhat better than the coleco tabletop port
0:48 there is no bitting way that THIS is the most seling game for the Atari 2600
0:54/1:03 alright good job 👍
1:11 i have no idea on what to say
1:19 close to perfect
1:27 really close to perfect
1:34 DAM, THIS IS MY JAM DUDE 😎
1:43 same as apple II
1:50 the off-tempo makes this somehow good
1:58 why is this hated so much? it sounds fine to me
2:05 if the hardware had square wave built-in somehow, this would've sounded better. I actually have no idea what are the specs for this computer are
2:21 epic swing tempo moment. Even tho that kinda ruins the last part of notes
2:29 oh god what the hell are those graphics
2:37 okay that's better
2:43 the music is having a panic attack tbh
2:50 sounds off-key but eh
3:15 z-man, is that you?
3:30 okay that painful
3:38 i like the fm 👍
3:45 this is even better
4:30 last fm music 🫡

Even allowing for the varying capabilities of those early machines, it's amazing how wrong they managed to get some of those attempts at reproducing that tune.

Dude that’s actually crazy how they knocked the SFX out of the park right from the beginning, then for a solid year it’s just garbage disposal noises, like I get technological limitations and all that but fax machine noises until the 90’s is wild to me

The Apple II (][) jingle is just the intermission (coffee break) jingle. Creative.

(Also, fun fact-- said version is actually based out of a clone called "Taxman"-- this version, under Atari(soft)'s approval, was re-released officially by themselves with the original Pac-Man branding.)
