100k miles in under 20 months riding the new Yamaha Star Venture! When you are living with a progressive and often debilitating disease like MS, every day you can ride is a good day. Longhaulpaul discusses his experiences riding Yamaha's new flagship luxury touring bike after rolling over 6 digits on the odometer. His goal is a million miles or a cure, whichever comes first. Another ridden hard and put away wet review.

There has been so much in the way of negative comments regarding this touring bike since it was introduced 2 years ago. Paul proves 'em all wrong. Who else has ridden one 100, 000 miles? This has been one serious test ride that should remove all doubt as to what this machine is-and is not. Aside from the machine, I think Paul has shown also without a doubt the durability of what a man on a mission is all about. Both man and machine are bulletproof and more than ready for the Longhaul. My mother had MS. I grew up watching her decline by the year. I have a level of appreciation for this rider that goes beyond words. Thanks a million, Paul!

Yamaha took a real chance placing that bike in your hands for a non-stop 20 month day in and day out 100, 000 mile torture test. You are an inspiration sir.

One suggestion: before you retire the bike, get it properly cleaned and take some pictures so we can have an idea how the paintwork survived all the salt.

From what I've heard, watched and read, you're not called "longhaulpaul" for nothing! Keep rollin', brother!

This review and channel need so much more support. Even if you don't like Yamaha you got to respect what Paul has done with his ride.

Nice review! I'm shopping for a budget touring or sport touring bike. Started thinking I wanted a Honda ST1100, but kept seeing old (OLD!) Gold Wings for stupid cheap, and considered one of those, but after lots of research I'm leaning towards the V4 Yamaha Royal Star bikes.
But your review (and your journey) are both really interesting!!
I'm now subscribed and will follow along.
Safe travels, and stay away from any and all "vaccines", as those are spawning all kinds of neuro-degenerative and/or immune-system diseases (in addition to the heart/liver/spleen/brain/etc damage, and the "turbo cancers")
Cheers from the Great White North!

I love that my V Star has 6 figures in the odometer space. You are really getting it to drop that many miles in such a short amount of time. Incredible effort.

Yamaha makes a great bike, there is no doubt about that. What amazes me is how it obtained 100K miles with only the bare minimum of repair and routine maintenance. I have always wanted to design a "Century Cycle". A bike that could go 100K with no major failures and just routine maintenance. Looks like Yamaha has already done it. Well done Yamaha and LongHaulPaul! All Hail the Yamaha Century Cycle!

That bike is GORGEOUS EDIT : Everything YAMAHA makes is top shelf. Most of my musical gear is made by Yamaha like my bass guitar, and preamp.

Oh my goodness kudos to you. I have ridden for about 30 years and I figured I have ridden about a TOTAL miles. And you did that in about a year and a half! My last 2 bikes, for the last 15 years were both sportbikes so much fun on racetracks, but I have never ridden much over 300 miles in any one day. That I would love to do once, to tour across maybe 3or 4 states for several days. I know friends who ride large displacement BMW bikes that will go for week and a half trips doing maybe 3 or 4 thousand miles. Your video deserves many more viewers, new riders should watch this video instead of the many less experienced ( sometimes younger) riders that are more about bloating their egos, and telling you what you want and or need rather than just explaining with facts and knowledge the way you do. I have spent MANY hours watching various motorcycle videos, and yours so far is as good as the Pinnacle of motorcycle videos, a company from I believe Canada called fortnine. If you want to catch a excellent and well produced bike video, watch " how Harley Davidson killed itself" . Ride safe. Thank you.

Congratulations Paul on your 100k. You are an inspiration. When I have a little down time, which is not often, I watch your videos on the Star Venture so I get a little 'arm chair' riding fix.

Can't wait till it shows 500, 000

Edit... Ok. Going to a different machine soon. ☹️ Maybe Yamaha will do a teardown and show how it held up compared to new specs.

Thanks for posting this. What a wonderful testament to the greatness of this bike. It should shut up some of the naysayers out there. I know I love mine more and more each time I throw a leg over the saddle. Good luck on your quest.

Great video Paul. So much for all the naysayers regarding the direction Yamaha decided to go with the 3rd gen Venture. Great job Yamaha! Love my '18 as well. Best bike I've ever owned over the past 39 years. Stay safe Paul and God Bless!

I have one just like it and I love it. Never planned on buying one until I rode it, takes some getting used to with the low RPM's but once your on it it's great!
