Hot tip for finding good ambush locations: If you hold the right mouse button (as if you were to initiate a move) the tooltip will remain visible and update in real time. If you decide you don't want to move at all you can click the left mouse button and it will cancel the move initialization.

i'm still fascinated by the fact that you have such a large territory on turn 60, i often see things like that in other videos but i usually only have around 2 provinces on turn 50/60 x)

My problem usually is the dreadfull "ambush folied"

Even with my 100% skaven queek headtaker and at a considerate distance from target i keep randomly getting it. Any ideas on how to avoid this?

Can you advise if you move whilst in the Ambush state does the AI see you come out of Ambush when you move? Or are you completely hidden whilst moving from Ambush position to Ambush position?
