The quarterly dividend decrease is irrelevant. Year-to-year increase is the true metric

Any thoughts of if SCHD will continue to go up, its up $1.13 today to 75$. Obviously no one can predict the market, just looking for a right time to put more $$ in. Hate to put $10k in it now, only for it to drop back to $73 or so in January. I do have about 1200 shares currently.

I just hope we see realistic dividend payments from normal companies like 5%+, In this economy it takes too much capital to live off of dividends without having a massive nest egg.

What are your thoughts on DGRW? Since inception, DGRW has outperformed SCHD in Total Return. Using time period from 6/2013 through 11/2023, the Total Return CAGR for DGRW is 12.38% and for SCHD is 11.10%. Would you ever consider switching your position to DGRW?
