Other people have said this but I'll just repeat for those who may not have seen those comments. Bravely Default III and Bravely Third are two separate things. The Bravely Default series follows the final fantasy naming convention where numbered entries are separate. So BDI, BDII, and BDIII are not connected narratvively but mechanically. However BDI and BD Second are so a BD third would continue that storyline from the very first game

I’ve wanted nothing more than Bravely Default and Bravely Second remastered or ported to Switch, and if they made a Bravely Third (an actual sequel to Second not 2) I’d be so excited. I’d love it if they did a dual pack of both games or remastered then both onto a single cartridge.

Here's the difference between Bravely Default III and Bravely Third:

Bravely Default III: Reuse the concepts and gameplay structure of Bravely Default in a new universe.

Bravely Third: Direct sequel to Bravely Second. In Bravely Second they kept teasing a third game, but they ended up making Bravely Default 2 instead.

I highly prefer Bravely Second over Bravely Default 2 as it was much more dynamic and experimental as a classic jrpg and plus it ended on a cliffhanger. I would much rather have a Bravely Third then a Bravely Default 3

Bravely Default was such am amazing game. It was a miracle that I played that game because I was in the mindset of a small boy who only had to play "men games" and the cover of the game had Airy front and center but I still bought it and I had a blast playing it. Man I loved all the characters.

There are so many games from the 3DS era that would benefit greatly from being remade/remastered. Bravely Default is just one of them.

The first Bravely Default game was very good. It had a great character cast, voice actors, music, boss battles and story. And sure, they could've done much better with the "parallel worlds" later in the game which were definitely the "low point" of the first game, but overall it was a satisfying experience. Also, I personally would've preferred a *Bravely Third* which would continue from the *cliffhanger* at the end of *Bravely Second* rather than doing "Bravely Default 2" which I ended-up skipping and not feeling interested in playing at all, partially due to the fact that it went with a "new character cast/story" approach rather than building on the existing characters/story that it already established in the first 2 games.

fun fact Fast RMX was originally on the Wii then ported to the Wii U. Also an physical version on the Wii U exist... in PAL region. 😊

honestly I had a pre-order on steamdeck. Then I looked at my 3ds ps vita switch lite that were collecting dust together with all the other consoles plugged in, then I looked at my steam library and there were no game I would actually benefit from playing on handheld device. So I just haven't paid for it where my turn came and save me some 650 dollars.

I use Activity Cards all the time, it really helps especially with games that require you to find hidden collectibles or help with stages that I'm stuck on.

Sony to MS before: you don't have exclusive games!

Sony to MS now: PLIZZ GIVE US CALL OF DUTY OR WE WILL DIE!

As someone who turns off their PS5 every night to save power, I use the PS5 activity cards/quick resume all the time when playing Soul Hackers 2. It automatically loads a save file + skips the company logos and long opening video to get right into the gameplay so it's been an incredible time saver for me.

Even if the Xbox doesn’t do as well as the PlayStation, it is still a great system. Game Pass filled with so many games that you can play forever, and the third party support is just as good for me. I play on Switch and Xbox all the time!

I’ll be honest, as someone who wasn’t super tuned in to the PS5 marketing, this is the first time I’ve even heard of Activity Cards/Knew what that menu option meant.

In my case, the charm of PC gaming is being able to play games that were a big deal years ago. There is no generational barrier (other than the newer software requires more demanding hardware). I really enjoy the steam deck because of the possibility of playing some of those games on the go. Switch is great but it suffers from that generation barrier.

After finishing the Bravely Default series with Bravely Default III, they really need to make a Bravely Third, the true sequel to Bravely Second.

Man my Steam Deck has completely blown me away -- full on AAA play, emulation, Xbox cloud.. I'm a graphic designer and aspiring indie game dev and I can run full Krita with an external monitor / drawing tablet, and develop on the linux version of the Godot game engine -- 100% mobile dev capabilities right off of the Deck. Best. Console. Ever.

The list of PS Plus games for this month kinda reinforces what I've been saying for a long time: Sony doesn't want to increase the value of PS Plus, only its price. That's why it feels so disappointing when it comes to games from consoles older than the PS4. No worries for me, though. I'm still rocking my PS2 Fat and when it eventually dies on me, I'll go full emulation on my PC. Take that, Jim Ryan! Your money-grubbing business practices have made me move on from anything PlayStation and Sony-related during this generation.
