in my opinion magsafe is really good because you can change the accessories easily, however a magsafe case is most likely a better option for most people as that allows easy removal of the magnet simply by swapping to a different case

edit: i for example have a magsafe case on my s22 and it has worked without issues

The Samsung battle with Iphone comes down to battery life and accessories. Samsung won best phone over Iphone way back on Samsung galaxy S4 and has never lost the King Crown. You never see lines of people out side Iphone store any more. Yes Folks Samsung did that. Apple was once the biggest phone manufacturer in the world. Samsung is now the biggest phone manufacturer in the world Apple Iphone now is number 4.

no one mentions that anything attached to back of magsafe ring, could interfere with using s-pen at same time. So you have to take off any accessory attached first.

i bought one for my old phone, which worked great. but for my s23 ultra, most big name case companies provide specific ones with those magsafe rings already built in. mine is the clear case ringke, which is great!

I use a cover by Mous that has it integrated into the cover.

Cant recommend them enough, nice alternative to Otterbox and also has a numerous accessories too.

Thank you. My question was immediately answered by the first thing you went into. I just got an S23 (compact enough for me. Why all the phones gotta be gigantic now?) and ordered the ESR rings and the newer version of the ESR car charger that came with a dash mount as well as the vent mount. The ring guide's been updated for the S22s, but not the S23s, so I'm grateful for the info. The ring overlaps the camera lens opening of the case a bit, but it doesn't block the telephoto lens so it's all good to me. I haven't mounted the charger in the car yet, but I've plugged it in and snapped the phone to it. And it is quick wireless charging, so that's all working fine. So far, so good. Now I'm just hoping the dash mount will truly stick to my dash so I won't have to worry about running the heat with the vent mount. Wish me luck with that. lol

I will keep magnets away from my S22 ultra after problems with the S pen from a small magnetic catch. Looking at another demo some magnetic devices on the back of the phone were interfering. The problem will be if the phone itself is magnetised and I will keep my phone well clear of magnets because you never know what long term effects are building up over time. For me it is just far too expensive a device to take even minimal risk for the sake of gadgets.

Will this work on the s22ultra. And also do you have to use all esr specific magsafe products or do they work with original apple products also.

Remember back in the 1999 the only phone accessories was a wired charger and a wired mono in ear headphone.
Now there's accessories for the accessory.

I have a s23 ultra, just letting all of you know that with most magsafe accessories attached, the S pen becomes useless.
I was using a magsafe case and wallet an some extra magsafe accessories and ended up buying a normal case after 2 weeks cause I do use the pen a lot.

I agree ESR makes some really cool products. Currently rocking that alignment ring, and as Much as I wanted to use the ESR case with the kickstand on the camera, the alignment (as you noted) would not work. I need up using the magsafe alignment ring on another branded case. It makes my connection to magsafet chargers stronger than any other Samsung case.

I do have to ask about the watch face....that was absolutely sick. would you mind sharing where you got it?

I tried using the steelie magnetic mount with my note 10. and it caused an area on the screen that my spen wouldn't function on. even on the outside of a case. are there any issues using the spen on S23 ultra? with Magsafe attached?

Ty for brining up the fact that you can use your camera while a magsafe accessory is attached. I used my iPhone wallet on my Samsung S23U and it showed up in the photo.

I had an ESR ring on my Z Flip 4 and it was life-changing. I just traded that phone in for the S23 Ultra and the first thing I did was put an ESR ring on my new case for it. It's crazy how much easier magsafe makes things. I also have the ESR 2-in-1 cooling stand charger, and their portable battery pack. They make excellent products and I'm a huge fan. Anybody with a hard backed case should put magsafe on their phone with these. You won't regret it.
