The 2016 US presidential election cycle has proved to be one of the most unpredictable ever. But following the Democratic and Republican party conventions, the final candidates are set: The next US President will be Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump. Both have survived bruising nomination campaigns and both remain divisive figures in their country—and within their own parties. So, what do the US elections mean for India? Dhruva Jaishankar moderates a Brookings India panel discussion with Tanvi Madan, C Raja Mohan, Pramit Pal Chaudhuri and Harsha V Singh.

Interesting perspectives here, but:
1)   "The United States in decline"?  Under Democratic Party leadership, yes.  Otherwise, don't bet on it.

2) An Indian quoting 毛則東?  Really?

3)  The political situation in India is stable?  Like
in Kashmir, for example?

4)   Trump "wants to throw a lot of money around"?  How so?

5) More blather on the false narrative of anthropomorphic climate change.

6)   "Delineation between East and West is no longer possible."  When was it ever really possible?

7)   How do we deal with technology taking jobs?  Creatively.
