Greetings from Italy, Florence. I'm on my Suzuki Jimny 4x4 petrol 1.3 with a 2001 m13a engine. In 2021 I replaced the engine oil with Liqui Moly leichtlauf performance 10w40, a good product, and in 2022 I changed the oil at 12, 000 km, took the ceratec additive and put liqui moly leichtlauf mos2 10w40 as engine oil, also a good lubricant and then I use additives liqui moly for cleaning the petrol injection system and valves!

Sweet video brother, I got a 23' Dmax SX earlier this year. It's currently on 7, 400kms. It alternates between normal driving and towing every so often. I'll organise for it to be serviced once it hits 10, 000kms. I've been reading on various forums to replace fuel filter regularly as well. Thinking to do that too when my Dmax hits 10, 000kms.

Thanks for showing where the engine oil filter is, looks like a real pain in the arse spot (typical😂)

Nice to see somebody looking after their vehicle. Service times are way too long on most vehicles today. Oil and grease is cheaper than metal.

Prefill that filter mate. Although you'll need to tip some out before fitting the filter, the material soaks a lot up.

Re the 15, 000klm service interval, that is purely a sales pitch to make a potential buyer think he's making a big save on service costs. Some idiots will argue that if Isuzu quote 15, 000 then it must be ok, okay to get the vehicle through the warranty period, but it won't be a long lasting engine. Good instructional!

Great job mate. I usually do mine every 10, 000. We bought our MUX in 2017 and towed our caravan around Australia almost two times, absolutely beautiful motor for towing, love it.
Great video mate.

Heck yeah! Ripper vid mate. 15, 000km service intervals is definitely pushing the effective lifespan of engine oil, especially when using a small diesel engine. 5000-7500km seems more reasonable in the long run.

Good video mate - And I have had the local Isuzu dealer trying to dissuade me from extra oil changes on my 2023 MUX….. implying I am over cautious and wasting money (implication is that I am stupid or something). What page of the (Huge) manual has this recommendation for more frequent oil changes?

Hi Alex
I see you use ryco @ 5k intervals not a genuine oil filter is there much diff in price .knowing that you do every 5k, lube / filter .what about fuel filter every 20k .

With your Dmax when start it cold, does the engine rattle or is noisier for 2-3 seconds then quiets down?
