The official attendance to watch one of the best pitchers in MLB on Wednesday August 3 at Marlins Park was 8, 656 (It was a rare quick 2 hours and 9 minutes game). It was another complete game for Sandy Alcantara who is now 10-4 with an ERA of 1.88 a WHIP of 0.93 and has struckout 141 batters in 158.1 innings pitched.

Reds fans, the Reds snuck into 3rd place. Nothing good has happened all year. Pretty predictable really including the trade deadline. Wish those guys well. If you trade pitchers, two best, with another entire year of team control left on their contracts you are canning 2023 as well. You can do alot with good starting pitching. What kept the Reds in it in 2021? The bullpen? Votto? Moustakas? Winker? Suarez? David Bell? Anybody else? Krall and his waiver window shopping looking for his bullpen and a closer? Pretty obvious. Not even India although he was quite a surprise. Don't let money fool you, it finishes first every time. Shutout by the Marlins 3-0, at a particular point the ending was a foregone conclusion, like when the Marlins doubled in runs 2 and 3. I guess this team wants credit for striking out 15 times in a 2-1 win the night before. The Brewers in Milwaukee this weekend followed by the Mets in NY. Time to start carving out those losses toward triple digits.
