TRY USING EARBUDS OR NOISE CANCELING HEADPHONES TO LISTEN TO THE TV OR MUSIC. YOU WON'T HAVE TO BLAST IT, AND WILL STILL BE ABLE TO HEAR.

I would suggest buying some electrical tape for your foam hula hoop to keep the sections together. You can buy pretty colored tape online if you don't just want plain black colored tape on your hoop.
