The fact that Honkai Star Rail is a turn based game with some custom gimmicks (one of the oldest, if not the oldest game mechanic) and is actively competing against other big gacha games (won game awards) makes it even more shocking and funny. Since pre release, everyone thought hsr would fail due to how old and basic the turn based system is, and now it's one of the biggest games of today.
