Here are my thoughts on the revolutionary Nikon D600. The first salvo of a full frame camera available and affordable to the masses is finally here. Nikon has finally started on the road to giving all of us better high ISO and full frame usability. Yes!

I don't have a D600, but I give my thoughts anyway. I've read and heard what others think of this camera, it is time for my thoughts. Share what you think of the D600.

Thanks for the feedback. I may wait a bit longer and use the time to increase my FX lens collection. It is good to see full frame making its way down the pipeline.

I'm right there with you. When the D90 came out, I was so tempted to upgrade from the D80, but I decided it just wasn't enough. The D7000 was. Now the D600 is a step in the right direction, but I will wait.

I am also a hobbyiest and I upgraded to the D600 from D300/D7000. A big step up for me but comes at a hefty price indeed. It's better in every respect compared to my previous bodies particularly low light performance and of course DOF. I would recommend that you wait at least until they fix the dust/oil issue cause it's real and very upsetting especially for us who are not pros and money factors into our decision. good luck :)

I've been waiting for an affordable Full Frame for a very long time. No 24 FPS at 720p? No 60 FPS at 1080p? It's so close to being ideal. I have a D7000 now and am really torn. I know if I wait, he "D610" will have the remainder of the option I want. Ugh! I could be two years from now. Tough call.
