You could give away free hundred dollar bills and there would be “controversy” from someone. Basically there is a large segment of the population out there that is just nuts, and there is nothing you or I or anyone else is going to do about it.
I wouldn’t worry about selling the ring for one second. I also would not worry for one second about the fact that it came out of her apartment, but that’s just me.

I find it hard to imagine a headspace where I'd want to own Eva Braun's anything, but I suppose they have a place in a museum type historical collection. I don't see a problem selling any one thing for whatever someone pays for it, however you spend the money.

Well you were right, that stuff was personal property. By all rights that ring and all of Eva's stuff should have gone to Gretl. She didn't even get the stuff Fegelein was going to have sent to her either. Not that there's probably a proper heir anymore, but still..

That the proceeds of the sale will be given to meritorious charities is a good thing. However, as there is a (reasonable) chance that the metal of this object was extracted from the dental work of a death camp victim, it would be better if it was melted down and sold as gold rather than become an object ‘’cult’’.
