TIG Welding 10” Duplex Stainless Steel Pipe and Flange

We continue our Legion Piping Fabricators series in Canada with Travis Field welding Duplex pipe using the TIG welding process. Today we got a 10" Flange.

Hey mate. I have been a pressure pipe welder for 30 odd years. In Australia. Working on things, ranging from gas platforms at sea, to refineries, and construction.
I have never been allowed, to carry out a tig weld in the VERTICALLY DOWN POSITION. ON ANY MATERIAL. In fact., if that is what a welder is seen to be doing on pressure pipe, THEY GET THE SACK

easy weld in the shop. try weld in the field or in the tight spot scaffold plus humid weather 😂
