still the best explanation of theme EVER <3 I never explain theme to my students, I just give them this video and say "Mister Sato says it best so let's just watch this instead." I have students years later still tell me, "'Love' is not a theme. "'Love stinks' is a theme." Or if I get a one-word theme from a student, I just say, "That's 'love." Give us 'love stinks'" <3
