Although I really like your blacksmithing, can you please put a filter over the arc welding, in the future?

I was wondering why you weld the dragon with an electrode rather than forge welding it ?
Is this a personal preference, or is there a reason not forge weld it ?
Another question: would it be possible to open the dragon's mouth with a chissel instead of an hacksaw ?
