Great review, I always loved motor gliders, my first four channel was a hobby king Bixler, and it flew fast slow, on windy or calm days, and took high speed crashes like a champ.

Were you there for servos installed by Hobbico for the flaps? The Rapid also flies with 4S Lipo?

Is this plane for me?
I'm flying my 1st glider now - the little UMX Radian - I really like thermal flying.

The Rapide is on sale at over 20 % off.
But - the ad shows that a receiver must be added - I did not see that covered in this video.
Is that hard to do?

The videos I see on this plane all seem to be about everything but flying thermals.
So I thinking this plane may not be for me.

The Radian is a 1 cell.
Is there a 2 cell glider, maybe a little smaller than a 5 ft wing span 3 cell plane
that would be a good next step up?

The Eluna I just got is NOTHING like that. I can guess they no longer sell that Glider. It was a good plane, so they probably dropped it.

My friend's plane is so mysterious that in a crash, the aluminum prop hub broke, and the thin little prop didn't.
