Our defence manufacturing has improved a lot lately because of the govt intervention.The NEGATIVE LIST made by our govt was a master stroke - these items could be easily manufactured at home & another is by DOING AWAY with middle men in defence deals.We are only exporting less sophisticated defence items at present but at least we have made a beginning.Some defence items made in India, like war ships, tanks, helicopters, armoured vehicles, artillary items, missiles etc are worth mentioning.We are FOCUSSING on this crucial sector is itself a GREAT ACHIEVEMENT.
