Really nice Boba. The base looks great! I bought this model and put it together but customized it into his Mandalorian show look. Came out pretty well. But his ESB look here is just classic. Good job Russ!

13:11 that's not a gap, it's the bottom of the flak vest.

Awesome videos. A really easy and less fiddly model is the Bandai 1/6 12 Inch stormtrooper. Still quite cheap on ebay and Amazon. For the black limb joints I used black fabric gloves chopping up the fingers. The finished model is just as impressive as a $250 hot toys figure

I built the Bandai droids. R2-D2, C3-P0 and BB-8. They turned out awesome. I guess with C3-P0 he had real joints in his costume so he ended up looking very realistic.

I agree with you about the gaps, the Speeder bike scout is worse . Great job on the base!!

I've noticed they've had a FEW Bandai kits at Target in the last few months but they never stock more then 3-4 of them.
The Boba Fett kit is usually there.
Other than that, you generally only classic TIE Fighters and X-Wings at Hobby Lobby and Michaels. The Sequel Era X-Wings sell a little bit cheaper (I saw $30 last time) but the kits in general have edged up to $40 for 1/72 scale.
<SIGH> I wouldn't count on the AMT/ERTL/MPC re-issues coming from Round 2 being much cheaper in all honesty!
Disney/LFL should have lowered the Star Wars merchandizing license fees after the disaster of the Sequel Trilogy. There are STILL some clueless people that won't acknowledge the fact that hundreds of millions of dollars were LOST on the Sequel Trilogy merchandise alone; the failure of the Sequel-era toys and kits to sell drove Toys 'R Us out of business AND nearly bankrupted Hasbro! You know R-2 probably paid some good change to be able to repress the classic model kits from MPC.
I guess you can still find good deals on some of the old MPC kits but the Bandai kits are never going to be "cheap." For all their flaws, they're the gold standard for accuracy and detail now... even if most of us agree they're over-priced and way too brittle and easy to break.

NICE end result!
You're going to heirloom this thing, aren't you?
I can't imagine Eagle Models is going to sell the Fett anytime soon!

Wish you would have shown us your chipping method and not just the finished results.
