Janice Gunner is a leading textile artist, quilter, author, and quilt judge. A lifelong stitcher for over 50 years, Janice presents a major retrospective of her portfolio. Always striving to produce work of a high standard, Janice prefers to experiment with a wide range of styles and techniques.
If there is one technique she is most known for, it is probably Shibori, also the title of one of her books. Her exhibition 'A Lifetime in Textiles' takes you on a journey celebrating 50 years. Filmed at the Festival of Quilts 2024.

Just found this. I did a course with Janice in Auckland NZ in the early 2000’s. My first Symposium and my first experience with an overseas tutor. She was such an amazing teacher and I still have the piece I made - somewhere! A wee ‘improve’ quilt. So loverly to see that she is still producing loverly work.
