I ordered the Klipsch RP-600M II. got it yesterday. I plugged them into a very powerful AVR. there is almost no bass coming out even when set to full range, I was stunned. I had an old pair of Cerwin Vega 5/14 inch woofer. the Cerwin Vega has like 10 times the bass output with NO modifications to AVR settings. why is the bass so weak? on the Kliipsh?

Would be nice to see this graph on top of another test with the room acoustically treated . Interesting results though, such a difference between the speakers .

The biggest problem was a suckout from 1-2 kHz, which I assume is the crossover region.

Still too close to the wall behind them but... I see your dilemma you need a clear pathway from the main entryway of your place.
I believe most of us similar issues regarding speaker placement in that optimum placement is not always possible.
We gotta do what we gotta do!

Everything is a good room with good acoustic. This lowend is crazy, but in different room they cant play that low. That gain in low frequencies was made from room acoustic.

I have been looking into getting a mic and trying out my mini Marty subs I built but haven’t yet. I keep asking my self is it really going to make that much difference

That's a really bad in room response even above the modal region. That's 5db per division and in room should look far better if that was an accurate speaker. You can also gate your measurements to strip away the room interaction too if you want to see just the speaker. But from that it would just show this is a very inaccurate speaker.
