The not so secret trick to making really awesome rock music and chord progressions is to use the flat 7 major chord. But the real trick to making your progressions rock is to use the minor pentatonic scale and turn every note into a major chord. Play around with the ideas used in this video and you will be adding a new dimension to your rock songs in no time.

It's just a mixolydian progression. I would play a mixolydian over this, but that's just how I would look at it

Great vid. Have you/or are you planning to make a video on chord inversions on guitar? Maybe this is my lack of theory speaking, but I'm really confused as to why you could invert a chord when you could just play it straight... Thanks a lot anyways
