Dapol CIE Box Van Wagon OO Gauge) Review HD

This is the second Irish freight wagon in OO gauge that has joined my Irish model train fleet is this Dapol CIE Box Van Wagon. Just like with the Coal Wagon, this model is also Made in Wales as well which indicates that it must be an older model as the newer Dapol range are Made in China nowadays. The model does have metal wheels which makes the running smoother than the horrible plastic rubbish that some makers user on their models. But I would have liked to be seen Dapol use NEM couplers on this model as the slimline tension-lock automatic couplers would be less visible. But its still a good model that I would recommend for any Irish model railway.

Thanks Ste. Yes I agree with the detail as I used to have a Wrexham & Shropshire set by Dapol in 2009 but the motor was pants for performance, so I replaced it with a Tomix one. I plan to get some Dapol Slurry tankers for a project train.

hello again ash, was wondering if you knew of any wagons that carried soil, as im converting 2 hornby ews into soil wagons and panting them green, cheers.
