I have a samsung front loader that I purchased in 2016. I don't have mold problems because eI leave the washer door slightly open to dry naturally... as for coatings - that seems like something that will wear away. I'm no fan of gimmicks, just leave the door open, regardless of brand, and problem is solved

Here is what I have ran into. 3 years ago our home had all new high end granite installed throughout including a counter on top of washer and dryer. It was built at 39", and should have been 39.5" in height. So we had plans to buy the top of the line GE Profile set but they are 39.75" tall. The LG top tier set is 39" tall and all the Samsung units are 38.75" tall. So now I can't find anyone that will raise my counter above the washer dryer. They all want to rip it all out and redo it at $1500-4000 in something that doesn't match. So now I'm frustrated and was just going to buy the shitty Samsung units until I fell down a rabbit hole of issues with them and lack of service.

All I get from this video is that Samsung customer service is not good. Okay. Would be nice to have more info on the Samsung as the title states, instead of comparing basic info among other brands.

For me simple is better. I do not have a problem with manual detergent dosing, I see auto dose systems as another thing to go wrong, As for the antimicrobial treatment some simple maintenance takes care of that, I have never had an issue with mold or smell. Most of this is just marketing hype making out a problem is worse than it really is in order to make people think about updating their machine.
