As someone from Europe who is waiting to go to a cheaper place to live because I don't want to pay 50% of my income, my suggestion is: stick to Thailand, my friend. Stay there for 10 or 20 years, save as much money as you can, and try to create some business there. Invest in AI perhaps, or do some tourism business, take advantage of the fact that you speak native English.

Being reliant on social media as your only income source is definitely scary. The algorithms and stuff are so unpredictable. You could be making amazing content and it just won't get pushed. It's all luck based

The Thai girl expected that from you because you’re a foreigner. They expect you to be rich. Compared to them, you are definitely more well off. And yeah some of them are more traditional.

My friend has family in Thailand but wasn’t born there. I stayed with her family there and found most of the women do work. They’re actually very hard workers. But one of them was an older woman though and she very clearly used to have a sugar daddy and inherited his money. I think a lot of women are gold diggers too but it’s a survival thing. Their opportunities to make money are very low there.

That’s why you see a lot of things for cheap they aren’t making a lot of money and there are a lot of hard workers. How old are you may I ask? I understand not wanting to fully provide for your partner while young but it also depends on the dynamic and values of the person you’re with, some woman prefer 50/50. Some women are traditional and want to be housewives. It’s just preference. Things change when you actually find someone you want to marry and are ready to settle.
