Pretty sweet scope!! The focuser is a beast and can support a lot of weight. What I love most are the mounting brackets. This gives you the ability to rotate the entire scope for your comfort. That and it’s got a lot of room for signatures 🙂 oh and this thing works great for prime focus DSLR imaging, something I seem to struggle with on other dobs. Great video, Tyler! Clear skies!

For me price is just as interesting as focal length, eye pieces, diameter, etc.

How is the Explore Scientific - Firstlight 8" Dobsonian Telescope? I don't see a lot of video reviews for this one. Debating on this or the Sky-Watcher.

I know absolutely nothing about telescopes and this hobby in general. But I want to look up at whatever in the sky. Point and look really.

I’m considering an Explore Scientific First Light 8” Dobsonian as my first telescope. Is 778 dollars Canadian a good price to pay for this unit?
Should I get this unit? Should I be considering something else?

Anyone who cares to comment. I’d appreciate your opinion.

is it normal to have to slide out that 2 inch seat for the 1.5 to work right?because if i just seat every thing bottomed out my 1.5 eye piece wont focus.hope you under stand what im trying to say
