I prefere cold climate. My mother and her mother had kitchen gardens. Have you tested Nikon 200-500F5.6 or 500mmF5.6? I need to replace an old 300F2.8

I understand your frustration about plastic bags. In certain areas like Chicago where my parents live they are no longer free but 10 cents a bag. When they come to visit me they clean me out of my surplus plastic bags to take back home. LoL. Let me know if you need me to send you a care package filled with plastic bags, which are still free in Arizona. Don't be too harsh somebody with a renewable energy PhD who probably can't hang a picture on the wall designed that bag.

I never liked my 80-400mm either - It was worst at the widest and longest.
So I gave it to my Daughter.
Although not as good as my 200-400mm the 200-500mm is a much better value.

And I love the 70-200mm f2.8 so much that I still have 4 versions...
