TV soldier boy was what the character needed holy shit. This character had the biggest glow up of all time. In fact, he's my favorite character. Just opens up a can and everyone gets it

The comics version of Homelander is still a sociopath, but he's not always scowling and angry. The comics version was a better manipulator. For example, sleeping with Soldier Boy was just him amusing himself about the fact that he could get away with with literally anything, rather than any real interest in Soldier Boy.

One important note is that the soldier boy in the tv show is obviously based on the first soldier boy in the comics who fought in ww2. The current soldier boy in the comics is not the original.

That's the third Soldier Boy. The TV series is loosely based off the first Soldier Boy who died almost immediately after arriving at camp during the war, instead of being kidnapped like in the show. He was equally as useless with no pretty much no real training. All of the original Payback died in that one-sided battle they caused.

Btw, Soldier boy is a mantle that it is passed down. This is not the soldier boy from the TV show. That one was from the 60's-70's. This NEW soldier boy wants to be part of the 7, and homelander is just taking advantage of

The one thing they kept for the show, is that Soldier Boy is actually one the strongest Sups out there. In the comic he is almost as strong as Homelander, just like in the show.
