There’s life in the pigeon Aviary ོ

Pigeons that have mated observe constant fidelity. The female is sure and will never look at another male, even if he courts her ardently. The dove will not care, except perhaps if her husband shows some weaknesses. Males are not so constant and do not set such a good example. But these accidents do not affect the quality of a marriage. The male pigeon faithfully fulfills his family duties. He would never invite his "friends" to his nest and remove them without the slightest respect, notwithstanding that the female would defend her nest by all possible means. That is why one rarely sees a male abandon the female he has chosen.
Our pigeons are monogamous, and in a family the young are included until they have grown up and can find their own food. However, one often sees cases where a couple broods again and still takes care of their young. This only ceases when the second brood hatches and demands the full attention of the parents.
No matrimonial quarrels can be found in the life of our pigeons. The female submits completely to her male. He leads her to the nest and, in the days before laying, he does not give her any rest until she is on the nest and has laid the first egg. Since the family life of our pigeons is limited to a pair, one may wonder whether one can speak of community life. Even the young ones abandon this family life as soon as they begin to fly. From that moment on they are strangers to their parents and no family relationship whatsoever can be noted thereafter.
