A collection of points is called a ray, a line, or a line segment. Lines , segments, or rays can be arranged to form an angle. The central point of an angle is called the vertex of the angle. In this lesson we will practice identifying and naming the segments and rays in a figure. We will also name the angles and the vertex of the angle in question.

Point : A point has no length, width, or height. It just specifies an exact location. It is zero-dimensional.

Line: A line is a set of points in a straight path that extends in opposite directions without an end.

Line Segment : A line segment has two definite endpoints in a line. The length of the line segment is fixed, which is the distance between two fixed points.

Ray :a ray can be defined as a part of a line that has a fixed starting point but no end point. It can extend infinitely in one direction.a ray can be defined as a part of a line that has a fixed starting point but no end point. It can extend infinitely in one direction.
