What Happened to our turtles dock?

I use zipties like a draw bridge for my turtles ramp

When I was in school we had a pet turtle and I love that little guy I was the only one to take care of him and clean out his tank during lunch once a week and I would take him out to run around the class well I did so I just had to keep an ion him to make sure he didn’t wander too far but one time when I was cleaning out his tank it was a big tank and I wasn’t very strong and I accidentally cracked it after that my teacher just said it was too much trouble to take care of them and found a new home for him she asked me if I wanted him but I know my mom wouldn’t want him so I said I wasn’t able to I was one of the only people he didn’t bite at when they go to pick him up and I remember I just gave him a hug and held him close to my chest and petted his little head as I told him he was going to go live a better life where someone would be able to spend more time than once a week with him my teacher was a good teacher and she nearly started to cry at this and actually called my mom to try and talk her into taking him but my mom was adamant that I would not be able to take care of them because I am not responsible enough and that I wouldn’t clean out his tank when she said that I was the only one cleaning out his tank and the only one that seem to love and take care of them my mom still said no and that she just didn’t want to turtle in her house my teacher apologized to me and said that the people who took them in or willing to let me go visit him but my mom didn’t want me to go to a strangers house I know he was a couple years old when our class got him so I wouldn’t be surprised if he already passed on by now but I really do hope he lived a happy life even if I wasn’t able to take care of him if anything it’s not me I never want to put my child and that’s the type of situation and As long as they don’t neglect them or anything like that I would take on over 100 animals if my child wanted to

You could try a cpl small fishing bobbers under the ramp to add buoyancy but not float it
