THIS GAME IS COPYING SKY: COTL?!

This game has been popping up a lot in the sky community in recent months. Although it's an ocean/ fish collecting game, it seems very heavily inspired by sky. Of course this is just speculation but you can watch the video to decide for yourself! That being said the game is very chilled and has some beautiful graphics (dare I say sky should be taking notes?) and I recommend you guys check out the game (p.s. this is not a paid advertisement). Unfortunately for me its too slow so not really my cup of tea.

Hi guys, forgot to mention in my video that a few months ago this game contained a lot more sky related items. This included around 15+ capes which matched the same designs in sky. You can check old ocean videos to see them. This was one of my other reasons for believing the game copied sky- which is even more compelling considering they were randomly removed from the game.

A few people have pointed out this game resembles tap tap abyssrium which I completely agree with (I used to play that game all the time). But I believe there are even older fish games than tap tap (although these were removed from the App Store at some point). So this concept of fish collecting games isn’t very new and has been copied a lot.

Overall I still recommend you guys check out the game to get your own feel and opinion of it. It has a lot of improving but still shows lots of promise!

I always thought that Sky was a cosmetics simulator with limited areas but... this one may feel worse. Just, come on. 4000 ads for a single fish? It's just taking out our time and money... But I don't think the creator(s) had tried to "copy" Sky, they probably only just really liked the looks of a Skykid and tried to implement it into their game. But I feel that if it is looks, not lore, then it would make much more sense if Luna was a mermaid :v

Honestly I wouldn’t have a problem with it until it got to the capes/scarves. They are super iconic and specific to Sky and don’t even make sense in an aquatic game. They could do like, fish fins and tails as a cosmetic instead and it would be fine.

And another one is that they used the “rage” of skykids and them trying to play the game as profit

The number of copied cosmetics alone are too much. It's basically identical, especially the pants and clothing with the added necklace that looks like the season pass pendants?
It's sad really. Just a shallow cash grab from someone who couldnt even think of their own designs

I get that a lot of people here don't want to jump into conclusions but let's be real here, the developers definitely knew Sky and shamelessly copied the homework with so little effort to change some details. Like just think about it, why do you need capes in a swimming simulator? In Sky it makes sense that we have capes because skykids fly and the capes act like a pair of wings.
And let's not start with the cosmetics, I know Sky didn't invent white hair, capes, yellowy brown outfit, simplistic avatar with no mouth and fingers, etc but when 90% of the other game's cosmetics look awfully similar, you can't help but go 🤔🤔".
Also I find it really weird that the main character has such a simplistic design while all other animals look a lot more detailed. Why did they decide to use that design for the MC? And it suspiciously looks a *tad bit similar* to the design of another game 🤔

(1:00) Technically speaking there is this type of cape structure in Sky from season of sanctuary, being the ultimate gift for that season. The only main difference between the two is that one is opaque and the other one is more translucent. But yeah that’s a really suspicious thing and thatgamecompany could get involved, who knows.

I remember talking to my old friend about sky, sending them a screenshot and them saying "oh ive played that game"

I have my own head cannon for sky based off this game.
Where technically instead of a sky child landing on the isle of dawn, they got set offcourse and landed in the water.
Being saved by manta's somehow, and becoming Sky's equivalent of a mermaid

The thing is I would like an underwater version of Sky (something more robust than what we got during season of abyss). Several members that worked on Sky made Abzu which was a cool game.

I would even suggest an underwater expansion to Sky that adds more areas, Abzu like swim mechanics, and fish collecting etc. I just think it would be a cool idea. Maybe instead of regular spirits we can have "merspirits".

My biggest thing is I would like to see more areas with better swim mechanics than what we have in Sky now. It would add something fresh to the game.

I would not download it and yes their creators obviously play sky and whether it was conscious or subconsciously, they 200% copied which is forbidden when you work in the creative world 😡
