On a warm summer’s night in January 2003, the city of Auckland faced a series of brutal attacks… and the details behind them were so disturbing that bystanders looked as shocked as their killer.

Antonie Dixon’s deplorable actions are utterly inexcusable, but the more we look into this monster’s history and what he faced growing up, we realise just how doomed he was from the outset…

So today, let’s dive into the life of the so-called Auckland Samurai, the many victims that he met along the way and the unexpected surprises he revealed behind bars.

Respect that this coffee shop still hasn't raised its prices

Nero calling out the lack of sunlight is hilarious and gave me a nice giggle after an otherwise very morose case. Thank you for sharing the occasional update on him :)

It *never* ceases to shock me that at any moment, your life could be destroyed by another in seconds.

Thank you for showing Nero! I lost my oldest cat 3 weeks ago and my dog yesterday. It has been a horrible month. Seeing Nero brought a smile to my face. ❤

Adrian, I really appreciate the way you start off your videos with descriptions of the local area, people, and culture of each subject. It helps put things into context for me.

There’s a huge difference in ‘sympathy’ and ‘empathy’.

That mother was a monster through and through. Anthony really stood no chance of a happy life but he should have been institutionalized several times over and not allowed back into society until he could be rehabilitated, if he could. Sad story all around.

Antoine's mother should be in prison for child abuse. She is definitely responsible for his upbringing.

I know a guy who was sexually abused by his mom as a kid too. He's always been eccentric, and even more as an adult. He has problems that have made me distance myself from him as we've gotten older. The similarities between this guy and him kinda remind me to keep an eye on him, but also distance myself from him.

You can sympathize with the child that experienced the abuse, but not for the adult that chose to become a monster.

Thanks for bringing on Nero at the end of a heavy and tragic story, cats and dogs always put a smile on my face. I also love how you describe the place, local culture, highlights etc. at the beginning of a video.

Bravo to the person who had the nerve to follow him and get identifying information.

Adrian, the more I watch your videos, the more I look forward to the next. Your diction, gentle velocity, and expression in the delivery, is a help to follow the details of the story, and your personal appreciations of the people involved in the cases are very interesting. And the quality keeps progressing. Well done, and thankyou.

I can’t help but feel sorry for everyone involved in this situation. Sorry for those children that are without a father, sorry for the two women, and sorry for the perpetrator, he never had a chance. Praying for healing for all involved
