I don’t know now, my hair always looks dry. My hair cannot absorb water that well but my hair dries immediately when I get out of the shower.

Low porosity hair IS prone to dryness because of how tight the hair’s cuticle is. It’s practically flat, so products have a hard time entering the hair shaft unless the cuticles on lo po hair are opened! The products essentially sit on top of the shaft otherwise. That’s why ppl w/lo po hair have to intentionally use heat (steamers, heat caps, shower caps) as part of our routine.

High porosity hair means the cuticles are too open, so products practically evaporate. This makes high po hair prone to dryness as well. Two things can be true, y’all. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Is there a "mid porosity"? 😄 My hair takes forever to get wet. Water just sits on top of my hair, or slides down it. It does well with products (no product build up). It dries quickly. Looks and feels moisturized after. Takes awhile for it to look and feel dry, even without adding any more product after initial wash day.

Low porosity hair is not prone to dryness. High porosity hair is! But everything else on that list I agree with when it comes to low porosity.
