in this part, it's a good example how "authority" will use tragedy as a means to exert more authority.

bruh this movie was filmed at my school and seeing it so different and yet so similar is such a mind fuck lmao. like at 0:35 that’s literally where me and my friends used to hang out at lunch. it’s crazy how different the school looks now but i can still tell generally where everything is this is so weird

Some History from a Boomer for those who want to know it, in 1993 when this movie was released, America was in a battle with the Music Industry over "controversial content" VS Free Speech. Parental Warning Labels on all CDs, Cassette Tapes & Video Games was the eventual
The song in the background is speaking directly to that very contentious political debate, that shaped the way many of us feel about the issue still till this day.

1:45 if this was the full screen version you’d see the name of the REAL school they used for this film at right above the word Library... Saugus High School

Time for a remake. Themes are great, just need to update to blog or live feed instead of radio. With Christian Slater as the dad/school board commissioner.

I understand Nora wanted to find out who Happy Harry was, but I didn't like how she was pressing on Mark because she suspected it. She had only intended to talk to him because she wanted to find out something, not because she actually liked him in the first place. Sure, they were cute at some point, but I feel like Paige and Mark would have been greater, as both are major influences in the film. I mean, it's clear Mark likes Paige. With being social influences, Paige is more upfront about it and Mark is more anonymous, but both bring the same thing: Knowledge of the school hierarchy.

to be honest i prefer mark and paige together, than nora (nora is irritating).. paige embodied the influence, while nora was just bored and started poking around
