From my two weeks experience of staying Seoul, i can relate to her. Living in korea as a foreigner is not easy. My friends who live there had some similar experience.

I am amazed at the sister's humility and calmness despite going through experience of death threats.

I feel so bad for her. She is minding her own business, why should ppl subject her to bullying?

There's this viral story here in Malaysia where 2 young women (they're Muslim & wear hijab) from Malaysia went for vacation to South Korea because they were influenced by K-dramas. However, on the subway, an elderly Korean lady started screaming at them and called them "terrorists" over & over again. They were supposed to be in South Korea for 2 weeks, but flew back to Malaysia after just 4 days, immediately after that subway incident, because they felt so humiliated for being treated that way. They felt so disillusioned by the experience because South Korea was not what it was like in the K-dramas. This is my personal opinion but if you're not a blue-eyed blonde or look like a stereotypical Caucasian, or if you're a dark-skinned Southeast Asian, don't expect to get treated nicely in Korea.
