I lost my wife to cancer after 22 years of marriage. She was the closest thing to perfect. She was my best friend, confidant and the only person I could've counted to have my back no matter what. This song really brings tears to my eyes and made me ask the same question" What is love, if it's not guaranteed? What is love if she's not here with me?' Now I realize that love and life are just beautiful vacations that need to be enjoyed as they're never guaranteed to last forever. I won't forget the last thing she said to me before losing consciousness " Don't allow yourself to be distracted from living your life. The only things you're guaranteed to take away from this life are your last meal and the memories.

fell in love with this song the first time i ever heard it, locked down in ycp . this song, the pain in you're voice .it reached down and pulled at my sole and resonated, making me think of my own love of my life and the pain i felt at the time due to the void between us. like you knew exactly what i was feeling, It brought a tear to my eye, even now years later we are married with kids, anyway i started watching empire and right off the bat i heard you, and flashed back to that moment, the same tear filled the far corner of my eye as i pulled her close and thanked god and the stars above i was hear in the moment holding her this time. I am reminded of the things i did to get me where i was the first time i heard you're song, and when i get frustrated with the mediocre things i must do in life, thinking about quick money , i give it a listen and member how cold and alone i felt as to my consequence's of living that fast life and the hurt and pain i caused the ones who love me the most....thank you for helping me thru and reminding me of the pain n time that tips the scales toward slowing down.
