Diet Coke and Coke Zero are both sugar-free and calorie-free colas that are popular choices for people who are looking for a healthier alternative to regular soda. However, there are some key differences between the two drinks.

Diet Coke was first introduced in 1982 and quickly became a go-to option for those looking to reduce their sugar intake. It contains zero calories and is sweetened with a blend of artificial sweeteners, primarily aspartame. Diet Coke has a distinct flavor that many people enjoy, although some may find it slightly different from regular Coca-Cola. It has a light, crisp taste and is often preferred by individuals who are accustomed to the Diet Coke flavor profile.

On the other hand, Coke Zero was introduced in 2005 and was specifically developed to taste more similar to regular Coca-Cola. It also contains zero calories and is sweetened with a blend of artificial sweeteners, including aspartame and acesulfame potassium (Ace-K). The formulation of Coke Zero aims to replicate the flavor of regular Coke more closely, resulting in a bolder and fuller taste. This makes it popular among those who prefer the taste of regular Coke but want to avoid the sugar and calories.
The choice between Diet Coke and Coke Zero ultimately comes down to personal preference. Some people may prefer the lighter, crisper taste of Diet Coke, while others may gravitate towards the bolder, more robust flavor of Coke Zero. Both beverages offer a sugar-free option for those who enjoy the taste of Coca-Cola but want to reduce their calorie intake.

Just had Diet Coke for the first time since the 90s, I have to say, it's drastically improved over that horrific taste it has years ago.
