This interview epitomizes the internet as a whole. No matter how positive someone tries to be, everyone just wants to try and focus on the negative.

I’m not sure repeatedly yelling, “You're a liar!”, is the best interview technique.

Armisen was one of the best cast members of all-time because he held a love and fascination with the characters he portrayed. His comedy is always framed through a lens of understanding and compassion, so that’s why he doesn’t have anything bad to say and why his comedy will endure for generations.

Everyone is suddenly a podcast host. And when they’re not hosting, they’re a guest on everyone else’s podcast. Same questions. Same stories.

Fred Armisen is one of the most versatile effortlessly hilarious cast members SNL ever had. He’s right. Sometimes when comedians host SNL it’s not as funny as for when let’s say like Charles Barkley hosts.

He hit the nail on the head at the end. Serving the sketch. Not everyone has to be banger after banger funny. Sometimes it's just who can take this idea on paper and make it great. I guarantee you, 100% guarantee - "I need more cowbell" was not drop-dead side-splitting funny when it was in the writers room. But look at the cultural juggernaut that became. That's an example out of mountains of examples of serving the sketch.

It's almost like Fred gives out a positive energy in his professional life and others reflect it back to him in most situations, resulting in a generally good experience on SNL

It was a small one episode role, but Fred as Wally on Curb Your Enthusiasm was pure gold. They should bring him back next season.

I couldn't imagine comparing being on SNL and Howie's AGT gig.

I highly commend you on your click bait. Of course he’s not going to name names for least favorite guests. I also highly commend Armisen for not falling into the trap of the question.

Howard went to TMZ mode. It’s cool Fred never felt any animosity towards any of the guests at SNL.

Portlandia was an amazing outlet for him what a funny show. Howie is as awesome as ever. It would be amazing to work with him one day. I miss seeing him do his own thing on screen and animated voices. Bobby’s World was one of the best kid shows ever thank you for the awesome childhood, teaching us and the laughs of course. Much love ❤❤❤

If the person being interviewed opens the door about something negative on the show, it's ok to ask them to open up about it.
When the interviewer(s) come right out and hit you with those questions, they're really trying to kick up dirt for their ratings.
This is why most celebs hate interviews or are very cautious about who they talk to.

Lorne Michaels did something close to magic. He kept the shittiest show on for 50 years. Bravo.
