There's a HUGE difference between hearing these in a Youtube video vs hearing them in-game.
In-game they are way more teriffing.

In my opinion cave14.ogg ( 1:19 ) is the scariest. Most of the other noises are standard ambient sounds that could maybe be chalked up to wind or roxks falling or whatever, but the glitchy sound of this one is so unnatural. It makes you fear whatever could be making the noise.

The crazy part about these sounds scaring everyone is that you know that there are only a set amount of dangerous mobs that could hurt you, yet when these sounds play you feel as if there is something more sinister lurking around, like an unknown evil presence...

Cave 19 really makes me want to do a u-turn and skidadle out of the cave, it intensifies the fear of NOT being alone.

It's scarier when these play when you can't see a cave anywhere & you're outside while it's daytime. (Doesn't apply to java edition after 1.16)

The newest mobs are making me think they have actually been in the game hiding in the caves since 2011 and they are the ones making that noice

A couple years back, when I finally figured out how to change all the sounds in the game, I decided to change every single cave sound with reverb farts. What was once me desperately lighting up a dark cave as quickly as possible was now me running around hoping to hear an echoey fart.
