Lions owner Sheila Ford Hamp addresses Matt Patricia's leadership style

It was no secret many of the Lions didn't like playing for Matt Patricia. Did his leadership style trouble the Fords? That's what Brad Galli asked the team's owner.

"Not really, no," Sheila Ford Hamp said. "I think in many ways we have a talented team. I think we should've come together better than we have."

After reading several comments I believe the common theme is selling the team and giving the franchise competent ownership.

While you’re at it, demote the investment banker sitting split screen from her.
First move he did was deny the best receiver in Lions history his 1 mil bonus.
Bring in a legit Michigan football guy like Tony Dungy or Chris Spielman (or both).

Amen, both Matt Patricia, and Bob Quinn should of been fired in the first place. They, did not know what they were doing.

Sell the team give us some owners that want to win a Super Bowl and be a relevant franchise for once.

Martha hired Ernie Acorsi to lead a search for GM. Bob Quinn was the front runner at the time, he had alot of buzz for scouting and personnel prowess. He was partly responsible for that NE roster for yrs. It clearly went wrong when he decided to hire his friend Matt Patricia. If Mrs Hamp goes about it in a similar manner the next GM will most likely be a good pick..question is will his HC hire be just as good?

This organization needs to be overhauled from owners down.

Are the owners really that inept?

When so many players are speaking up about the loser head coach, the owners should have been concerned about how bad the coach really is.

And they should have addressed that with the coach.

Good luck Lions Honks, maybe one day, you'll be as good as our Steelers organization.

The Ford family has kept the team in Detroit when other owners would have left. Media floats the issue of changing ownership because some billionaires out there want to buy a team. The Rooneys lost for 40 years in Pittsburgh. All both could do was hope to be able to hire the right ppl at the right time. Give credit to the Ford family for firing Patricia rather than falling for media narratives.

Replace a loser with a loser only in DETROIT

Patricia's a finger pointer that players won't follow who traded away any & all locker room leaders who criticized him. The attitude of the team was a reflection of weak leadership & players won't fight for a coach like that.
