i think the minute the instructor basically threatened to fail her at the beginning, she felt anxious and began making mistakes. it’s understandable why she got the deduction, you’re supposed to drive slow in a parking lot especially if there are pedestrians. however i don’t think the way he warned her helped during the test. i’m grateful that i had a driving instructor that was nice and understanding and when he tested me he had the same attitude. good attitude = good driver = pass test. i’m surprised she passed but hopefully she improves the more she drives.

I'm not afraid of failing my drivers test, I'm just afraid I'll get a mean instructor who will make me nervous more, like this dude.

Edit: yup, believe it or not, I had a moody instructor on my first test and she made me nervous asf, so I ended up failing. But this time I had a nicer instructor and I felt more confident with her, and ended up passing my test!

I think drivers Ed teachers should be super encouraging when someone is nervous not getting frustrated them and expecting them to do perfect

I think the moment he threatened to fail her in the parking lot she got super nervous. No wonder this was a hot mess

I don’t appreciate how he can tell she’s still nervous but his tone with her is as if she’s dumb. The whole ramp situation. I understand driving is a serious deal. But his tone and demeanor towards her is just gross.

She wasn't even going that fast in the parking lot, no wonder she's nervous when the examiner threatens her with cancelling the test just for that 🙄 I think any learner would be anxious no matter how confident they were

Why do I feel like this is more like a driving lesson rather than a driving test?

This instructors behavior definitely added on to her nervousness. He was straight up rude and unprofessional! New drivers aren’t perfect so you have to be patient with them. We were all once in their shoes!

To be fair, the dude's attitude really makes the girl more nervous. Therefore hindering her performance. My guy trippin

" it's called a ramp " he says. Lol what a rude old depressed man. Starting his day off with negativity toward a novice.

After 5 fails I finally got my license! It’s pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You’re bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 years then I renew again.
My little advice.
* If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.

All though he’s making great points for their driving, that’s not the best way you speak to a person that’s clearly nervous, have some heart and be friendly and I promise you they’ll do even a little better. They’re already nervous about the fact that they have to drive around others, they don’t need another factor to increase their stress

He made me nervous and I already have my license💀 I never understood why they have to be so rude. Thank God my instructor was super nice/calm or I would've failed🙃

Honestly I have bad anxiety and I’m really hoping my instructor is nothing like this guy because I’d 100% fail with him
Edit: I passed first try! My instructor was super kind, good luck everybody!

im surprised the examiner gave them so much guidance, when i was taking my drivers test in aus the examiner was practically silent the entire time, they only spoke to say 'turn right here' or 'do a 3 point turn'.
genuinely thought this was a drivers lesson at first rather than an actual test

Crazy how people are so quick to shame someone who is so new to the experience.

i passed today,
- ALWAYS remember to look both ways and straight at every intersection. Build that muscle memory now
- When they give you an instruction, repeat it back to them, and i guarantee you wont go wrong.
- They WANT you to pass. Be calm, and just keep. your mind on the road.
- Keep scanning and TURN YOUR HEAD at every turn to check for blind spots. They love that
- Keep calm, you got this. I believe in you

Passed the test on my first try and now I can watch without being nervous or anxious that I will fail.

If you’re watching this and you don’t have your license and are nervous- I believe in you truly!

When I had mine I was super nervous. Live in a city I had to parallel park and as I was two guys ran out of the house and started fighting in front of me. The instructor looked at me and said “forget this let’s go back to the dmv you passed anyways”
